What the extension does

NoFollowBack is a Chrome extension that, inside a x.com/twitter.com tab you're already logged into, reads the list of accounts you follow and shows you which ones don't follow you back, using the same "follows you" data X's own interface already shows. It also lets you unfollow accounts, individually or in bulk, by calling the same endpoint X's own "Unfollow" button uses.

What data it touches and where it stays

• There's no server of our own. All reading and unfollowing happens inside your browser, inside the X tab, using your already-active session.
• We don't copy, store, or transmit to any server of ours the names, handles, photos, or any other information about the accounts you see in the checklist.
• The result of your last scan (the list of accounts that don't follow you back) is stored only in the extension's local storage in your own browser (`chrome.storage.local`), so it can be shown to you again if you close and reopen the panel. It never leaves your computer.
• We never access or see your X password. The extension uses the session cookie your browser already has, exactly like the X page itself does.

Pro license

If you activate a Pro license, the license key you enter is sent only to Gumroad's verification API (api.gumroad.com) to confirm it's valid. No other personal data is sent in that request.

Permissions the extension requests

• Access to x.com and twitter.com: needed to read your Following list and run the unfollow action on those pages.
• Local storage: to save the result of your last scan and your license status, only in your own browser.
• Notifications: to let you know when a bulk unfollow run finishes.
• Tabs: to open or focus the X tab from the extension icon.

Third parties

We don't share information with third parties. The only network communication the extension makes outside of x.com/twitter.com is the license verification against Gumroad when you explicitly activate a Pro key.
